This project is an on-going development of a stand-alone custom page where the admins can manage parent-access accounts in bulk instead of one at a time. PowerSchool has the option to enable self-service for account creation, but that method comes with the additional baggage of duplicate contacts. This plugin will save you countless hours of your precious time.
Do you spend a lot of time managing your parent access accounts: answering calls to reset passwords, creating new accounts, or linking new students to existing accounts? Are you constantly sending emails to parents with new login information? Having to deal with duplicates? This plugin does all that and a lot more with “express” attitude.
- Create access accounts
- Link students to existing accounts
- Reset passwords
- Consolidate Duplicates (see the CCX project too)
You can do this for one or for multiple accounts. Search for custodial contacts without an account and then create all of them at once. Or search for new students who are not linked to existing accounts and link them all at once.
Caution: Doing mass updates can be risky. Be sure you know what you are doing and test the process on a small number of accounts first. Better yet, try it on a test server 🙂
